Kyiv: process for obtaining criminal record certificate

A certificate of no criminal record is a document that can be obtained from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The certificate of no criminal record verifies a clean record in relation to its holder.

When you might need a certificate of no criminal record

A certificate of no criminal record may be required both in Ukraine and abroad.

Certificate of no criminal record: what you need to know about getting it in Ukraine

Both Ukrainian citizens and foreign citizens can request a certificate of no criminal record in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine may delay the issue of your certificate if you have a common surname or if there are convicts with the same surname as yours, or if you lost your passport in the past, were charged with driving offences, etc.

The certificate of no criminal record is valid for 30 days within Ukraine and for 90 days — abroad.
