To use a document abroad, it has to be legalized. Depending on a country where papers and acts are needed, there are 2 ways of authentication. The first is legalization in a consulate, the second is apostillation. Apostillation is a simplified version of authentication of documents.
It is important to know.
The apostille stamp is valid only in countries that have signed the Hague Convention.
What do the legal entities need an apostille for?
Both private and legal entities are faced with the need to confirm the authenticity of their documents. Apostillation of documents issued by the Fiscal Service, the Pension Fund, the Ministry of Health allows you to use acts, certificates and extracts, received in the territory of Ukraine, abroad.
The most common cases where an apostille for legal entities’ documents is needed:
- opening branches and expanding business in other countries;;
- foreign partners’ requirement;
- obtaining certificates for business registration;
- tender procedures;
- participation in conferences, international exhibitions, etc.
Typically an apostille is required for papers issued by the Fiscal Service. Legal entities can provide tax certificates, certificates, charters, etc. Documents issued in the territory of Ukraine are effective only in this country. For them to become legally binding, it is necessary to obtain an apostille stamp in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
