What documents do Ukrainians need abroad?
First of all, start from your goals. Find out in advance what documents foreigners need for your case. If this is emigration, then study the data on the official websites of government agencies that deal with migration issues, issue residence permits, citizenship. If you plan to get an education, then find out the entire list of documents that are needed for foreign students. This information can be on the website of the educational institution or contact the college, university by mail.
In all cases you will need:
- Foreign passport. If you don't have one, get one. If you have one, check the expiration dates and get a new one if necessary.
- Internal passport. It is also needed when processing documents for the purpose of emigration. In this case, a translation from Ukrainian is needed. This can be done while still in Ukraine.
- Birth Certificate. The document is important for both children and adults, so take it with you. If the certificate is lost, we will help to restore it. If your list of documents for abroad includes a Birth Certificate, then be sure to go through the procedure of obtaining an apostille in Ukraine (for Europe, the USA, Canada and other countries).
